Somet integration provided the new Powershield batteries management system in order to get better control and damage notifications on-line on Bank-Hapoalim UPS’s batteries banks.
The main objectives of the system are:
To act as a ‘fuel gauge’ for battery banks to ensure there is sufficient capacity to operate systems for the designated time in the event of a power failure.
To identify faults and weaknesses in the battery bank early so preventative maintenance and replacement can be undertaken in a safe and orderly manner.
To ensure that the battery bank is maintained in an optimum environment to maximize its performance and life.
